Is there any preparation I need to do before you arrive to seal my driveway?

Yes. Please wash off all play chalk and leave enough time for the driveway to dry before the sealing appointment is scheduled to take place. Please also leave room, if possible, in front of your house for me to park my truck and equipment.

Curb Appeal Driveway Sealing is a home-based business located in Bowmanville, Ontario. Why should I have my driveway sealed?

Sealing your driveway with liquid asphalt is an inexpensive way to protect your investment. UV rays can damage your driveway. Sealing moisturizes your driveway, helps prevent cracking and creates an oil- and weather-resistant seal.

If you're thinking of listing your home this spring or summer, having your driveway sealed can really add curb appeal! A freshly sealed driveway will improve a buyer's first impression of your home and immediately improve its value.

What product do you use to seal driveways?

The product we use is a petroleum-based product known as liquid asphalt. This is the same product that is found in your driveway. Liquid asphalt, sand and gravel are heated and compacted when your driveway is first installed.

Can you seal my driveway if the weather is rainy?

Provided your driveway is not wet when we spray it, yes. The driveway must be dry when it is sprayed, but if, for example, it begins to rain as soon as we're finished, the seal will still remain intact. The sealant is an oil-based product and will repel water.

If it is raining or there is an imminent threat of rain on the day of your appointment, we will call to reschedule at your convenience.

Will my landscaping or lawn be damaged?

No, we will take precautions to ensure your property is not damaged by overspraying. We are fully insured in the case of an unlikely mishap.

How long do I have to wait until I can walk on my driveway after you spray?

Your driveway will dry to the touch, depending upon temperature. The asphalt will dry very quickly, within 3-4 hours in warm summer temperatures (25-30°C). Keep vehicles off of your driveway's surface for 24 to 30 hours. The vehicle's weight could cause tire impressions.
